its a bit late now cos i've bought it already on the advice of my lfs but will my new bulb make much difference to what i had, i've got a jewel rekord 96 with a single light and after to speaking to my lfs they suggested i go for a power - glo cos it would benifit the plants i was buying !!! Is this correct or have they just made an easy sale out of me ??

cheers

should these plants grow ok with my current set up? I'm not using any co2 injection (yet) and just proflora nutrient balls, should i add a liquid fert ?

cabonda
hygrophila polysperma
rotala wallichii
alternanthera rosaefolia

The power glo is ok, but I tend to find it works best when combined with another tube of lower K. I would hesitate to say its the best tube for plants. I will always like the Arcadia freshwater tube for plants.

I use a power glo and a life glo, before it was to bight (on eyes and plants) it was creating to much algae, Like sam said a lower K like the life glo (6500K) will work better.
