180gallon Tank Shot's And Fish !

Hi, Nice tank and love your oscars ,

Could I ask if you bought that tank from a tank maker called mer aquatica or N & D Aquatics ?

I got i custom built from a man who has a small business down south he has a website but i'm havin difficulty getting into it i think he's closed it down but if you care to try it's www.mereaquatics.com

The tank only cost me £340 but he put his prices up shortly after i bought mine not too much tho he put them up by £100 and it only cost me £40 Delivery too anywhere in mainland UK.

Hi, I can tell you now that the website is gone, and they are most likely trading under a diff name(but the same business), i dunno why though, they are selling on ebay, i can get the link if you want, ! I just happen to live 5 mins away from the place where they make the tanks. and im also gonna hopefully be buying a 6x2x2,

what do think of the tank quality ? and how long have you have it set up ?

The reason i ask is that I am a little cautious when spending so much money and have to make sure every thing is alrite

Yeah i've had mine over a year now i haven't had any problems with it as of yet quality is good. Yeah send me the link Pls

Link in the above post of mine !

My oscar's fine with tank decor. Although if the SDs go mental, he does have a habit of rushing to hide and banging into something

dandanuk, there was a topic about pics for a book that i started about 2 weeks back, if you want one published, send the pic of your red oscar in and il happily add it!

heres a link dan...clicky

I have already put the ebay link in a previous post of mine, they are very cheap custom made tanks !

There a better link with lots of pics

Sorry, and thanks for the link.

I think Lisa runs an FX5 and another external, but I'll tell her you asked and get her to come and answer *lol*.

Yup, a Fluval FX5, an Aquapro one (I think that's the right brand - cheapo large external filter - turning 1200l an hour), a Fluval 103 with nitrate remover in it (obviously at that size it's not doing much), and there were a couple of internals running in there but we just left the powerheads in for a current. I think that's what you call them anyway - it's my hubby's hobby really, I'm just the internet addict...

Dan, I dunno if you got your measurements right - a 6ft x 2 x 2 isn't 180 gallons according to my calculations (ok the online converters I use - I'm naff at maths). It is in US gallons, but in UK ones it's only 150g. I went round thinking mine was 135, but it's only 112g UK.
