hey got the tank cycled and set up planted and bogwooded..... right....
my tank has black gravel with a dark background... i plan on geting 3-5 angelfish but what i really need help with is what other fish to put with them. i no i cant put small fish like tetras in. i want some fish that are colourful and nice to look at with the dark background and gravel any suggestions please

thanks they look really nice but my LFS does not have any like that unfortunately

some of the gouramis are very nice will look at some of them

How about Loaches - yoyo, tiger, striped, blue botia, checkered and skunk.
or a certain type of goby - purple spotted, peacock or jade.
Killifish - almost all these have really nice colours like the panchax.
Dora catfish
Pictus catfish - best it its a 4ft as they prefer longer tanks rather than height.
Maybe some big shrimps like the fan shrimp that grow bigger than 5cm. They are red/orange with white stripe down their back, thats when you know they are happy with the water quality and the food. They eat bits foating around the tank which their hands are shaped like a fan and sticky so they can grab the particles. Have a look on youtube.

hey got my 5 angel fish.... also have got 1 bristlenose, and 5 julii corydoras which are all entertaining to watch
i was thinkin of getting 5 black phantom tetras but will they be ok with the angels and what other ideas you guys have for me to put in my tank

SOunds like you could benefit from something that would fill the upper layers of the tank. I would use either hatchetfish or red-eyed tetras (a shoal of at least 6 for either).
