18 Inch High Or 15 Inch High? Your Opinion!

Nearly twice the cost  . I might think about it if it were 25% more than the 15 inch but I'd pass on it. Unless you have a particular need for the hight. I had purchased a 50 gallon tall since it had the same foot print as the 40 regular. I actually needed the extra hight since I was going with a H.A.N.D.Y. Reef Method (4 inches of substrait and a UGF plenum). So with 4 inches or prime real estate taken by that layer I would've had a puddle in the 40. So if you don't have a "real" need I'd get the 15 or find a used tank :good: .

also keep in mind you're going to have to live with your decision. you can always get ANOTHER tank one day... but if you want more height/volume, then you should definitely consider it.

i wished i'd known more what i wanted when i bought my tank. I should have gotten a 55 gallon instead of the 37g, though it would have cost more at the time, but i would be a lot happier right now if i had just gone and spent the money in the first place. know what i mean?

cause now i'm just going crazy trying to figure out if i want to upgrade, do i keep my 37? do i sell it? will the wife freak out? if i had gone for what i wanted in the first place i'd be less anxious about upgrading now. (though i'd probably STILL want a 125g!) :D
