*waves goodbye to the buddha scape* Looks minimalistic now but great. There's a couple bits of duckweed floating around in my tank. 
It doesn't seem to want to become a green bed though...actually it seems like some of the pieces have disappeared mysteriously. Anyway, I figure since it's a 3g tank it shouldn't be an issue to maintain the duckweed...there aren't too many places for it to hide.

My betta has just been isolated for fin damage treatment in my pfk cube so my plans for it have been delayed til the new year, lol.
As for floating plants what about some Riccia ?

If you mean the one in my sig it is Corydoras Trilineatus (Three Lined Cory) often mislabelled as C.Julii.
