15 Gallon Stocking

I have almost finished my fishless cycle and am trying to finalise my decision for stocking my 15 gallon. I am definitely going to be having one male betta in the aquarium and either a shoal of 6 Celestial Pearl Danio or 6 Mosquito Rasbora or 6 Harlequin Rasbora.

The tank is heavily planted with pressurized co2 and high light, but which of those shoals do you think would get on best in my aquarium? Are any of them likely to fin nip the betta?

It's a case of whichever you prefer the look of, really. All those species should do well in your tank, and none of them nip (unlike many of the tetras!).

One thing I will say though; you'll be quite understocked and could easily have a dozen shoalers, if you go for the CPD or mosquitos

They''l be much happier and look far more impressive in a larger shoal. Even if you decide to have the harlequins, you could have eight, maybe ten, although they are a bit bigger than the other two species.

Hope you get some pics up when it's done; it sounds lovely and you've picked a very nice stocking for it

Thanks a lot for the advice i think i will be going with the CPD as they are the most attractive to me i may get around 12 or so of them then if i can safely keep them all ;D i will definitely upload some pictures once the plants have taken root and established themselves

The bioload from fish that small is very low, so you can have a dozen safely.
