Hiya!

I have the diy co2 kit set up, but I also have a short o2 bubble wall on one side. My 10g tank doesn't have any plants or animals right now, but I'm planning on growing a java moss and dwarf sig carpet, some java ferns, creeping jenny and corkscrew vals at the back.

I'll get my fish (neon tetras) as soon as the plants have established. The question now is, will I be needing an oxygen pump for this set-up? Will the plants release enough oxygen for the fish to survive on? Or will I need the oxygen pump while waiting for the plants to mature?

How are you diffusing the CO2?

Do you have a Power Filter? That should provide enough air for a 10 gal. If it looks good you can turn it on.

I didn't know you can overdose a tank with too much oxygen!

Hahaha... but yea, I had a Whisper Power Filter for my 10 gal too, didn't need to have a air pump since the water comming out the the Filter would agitate the surface enough to provide enough oxygen.

For the CO2 diffusing that the same way that I am doing it.

You might want to test your CO2 level so to make sure you don't overdose on CO2!
