The tank will be 1200 litres and 2 metres long. It will be set up as a riparium and will contain discus, rummynose tetras, splashing tetras, sterbai corys and starlight plecos.

What do you think, 1m base with water 60cm deep or 75cm base with water 80cm deep?

I don't know, but wow 1200L is massive!!
I'd probably go for length rather than depth. Those tetras will look lovely travelling down the length of the tank together. Plus the corys will have less distance to travel to the surface. The discus need 2ft depth but would appreciate the length too.

Go for length, better for territories for aggression, assuming the space doesn't result in another compromise.
