I have 5 guppy fry in my 10gal i waited for them to grow bigger so i can add some adult fish to this aquarium. I would like to get mollies possibly 2 females, or two balloon molly females. Do you think that will overstock my tank doing this?

ahh okay, this is because mollies can reach 4 inches and guppies 2.5inchs.

Even better choices would be some golden teddies, Xenophallus umbratilis, or least killies, Heterandria formosa, among the livebearer range.

All of these livebearers are less than 3cm SL.

I have not seen those types of fish in my lfs.

They are readily available through most fish clubs but I seldom see them at a LFS. At my own fish club, if you let the group know you were interested in either one, you would probably have a few offers of fish from people who had a surplus. I will probably have 6 or 8 species of not truly common, but far from rare, livebearing fish at my next club auction in July. If any of the club members contact me before a club meeting with a specific request for something that I have, they will get them at next week's meeting. One of them got some nice Xenotaenia resolanae that way in April.

What fish club is that?

I'll probably be driving down, one of the few local auctions during the summer.

I am still thinking what I can get in there lol. I really like mollies :(
if I don't go that way with livebearer, what else can I put in the 10 gal with my 5 guppy fry that isn't too nippy of course.
