Hi,

I am obviously new to the fish keeping game but I am loving my new tank which currently has

2 Male & 1 Female Dwarf Gourami (lucky Girl)
8 Neon Tetras

My tank is a 108 litre Octogan tank (think that equates to 38G?????)

Which has a Fluvall 2 Plus filter
300 watt light
Running at 25 degrees Celcius
Has a PH of 6.8
5 Plants and a bell ornament..

I am looking at adding to my little community shortly and the tank will take more fish easily or so I believe?

So I was looking at adding

3 Glass Cat Fish
1 Suckermouth Cat Fish
2 Clown Loaches
& possibly another 4 Tetras

Would this over stock it?

And will all these guys live happily together?

Would really appreciate your opinions

Regards

The tank is far to small for clown loaches, so cross them off your list. It depends what "suckermouth catfish" you are wanting to get. I'm not sure about glass catfish as I know nothing about them but they COULD be fine, but i'd up the number to 6 of them if you are, also rehome your gourami or possible trade it in for another female. You will have to wait for more people to reply for deffinate though, but I know you can't keep clown loaches unless you have a 75G(ish) tank.

Glass catfish are quite sensitive and absolutely need to be kept in a decent school, also they're not that small, so I would cross them off the list. I would also cross the clown loaches off as stated by Neal. The suckermouth- what species do you mean. If a Chinese Algae Eater- cross off because they grow vicious. If a common or sailfin plec, cross off because they grow BIG.

I would try to do the swap Neal suggested and get a female dwarf gourami in exchange for a male gourami. Otherwise there is a serious risk that the males will end up killing each other over her.

Other than that, I would add a bristlenose plec if you want an algae eater. And if you yearn for loaches, how about 3-4 khuulies loaches?

Thanks for all the info guys....

What about if I was to add another couple of Female Dwarf Gouramis?

I am also looking at upgrading early next year possibly for birth day to a 90+ gallon tank...

I have wanted to do this for a long long time and I cant stop staring at it... T.V.? what T.V.
