100 gallon tank

I have a 55 with a broken plastic piece (the part that runs up the middle). It bowed out when I tested the water, but now my side-of-the-road find is a reptile tank.

A 100 gallon tank costs around $200 new. If you planned on resealing it, replacing a side isn't that much more work. A plastic frame is made of plastic, doing up a new edge & center support isn't that tough. I'd offer to haul it for free. At worst, you can dismantle it, & have some glass around in case you have a problem with another tank.

how much would a piece of glass 72 x 18 be? And how hard would it be to fix the plastic?

i would say youre going to spend at least $50 on a piece of glass that size in the thickness you need (and possibly upwards of $100 to be honest)..i cannot comment on how tough it owuld be to fix the plastic, though
