hi i am about to embark on a large project to move my now 4" oscar into a 100 gal 4'x2'x2' i am going to build a shelf into an alcove for the tank to sit on. beneath will house filters and othe fishy parafinalia. above  will be two other narrower shelves for books, pics etc etc the tank has glass sliding cover so i want to fix spot lights to the shelf directly above the tank to provide light for some anubias and some other tough plants attatched to some rather large pieces of bogwood and some large floating plants. hoping to provide a dark moody looking tank with some light for plants in certain places. sort of swampy looking. so what is the best type of light to use? they will probably be suspended about 12" above the tak to allow for maintanance access. what wattage do i need? the tank will not get much in the way of natural light. or maybe flood the tank with light and densly plant the surface. what are my options?
