hi
id like a bit advice on stocking a 10 gallon tank. i was hoping to get a pair of dwarf gouramis can any suggest how many other fish i could get? i was hoping to get get some sort of tetras and maybe a armord catfish?
many thanks in advance

I would go for the pair of dwarf gourami and either 4 cory cats or 5 small tetras. Either neons, cardinals or lemon tetras. Any more than that would be a real overstock as the fish grow larger.

Try the 2 dwarfs and mabye a school of 6 tiger barbs (look sooooooooo cute!) ya might wanna get an algea eater too as with a new tank chances are you'll get some algea sooner than later... :) good luck!:D

I would suggest getting a trio of Dwarf Gouramis instead of a pair, 2 females and one male, because otherwise the male could harass the female to death. After that I would suggest either 6 corydoras or 6 tetras, but not both. Otherwise it's a little too overstocked. For tetras I suggest flame tetras, they're small, if you get them you could get a few more, like 8. For cories I suggest panda cories, because they are small as well, but only 6. Tiger barbs need much more than a 10g tank, more like a 30g.
