I already have a 10g that's been set up for a few months...it's been switched around a lot I started with harlequin rasboras but now it currently houses nothing.. For plants I have green cabomba and wisteria, which are taking over the tank. It's about 2 watts per gallon of light, I have seachem liquid co2 but I don't use on the 10g....anyways I would really appreciate any thoughts as far as plants and fish go..I'm sorry to say my betta Richard passed away after a long happy life of 3 years :c. I really love bettas but I'm looking for something new to put in the 10g, and I already have tons of corycats in other aquariums..

with a nano planted, you can never go wrong with a 10+ school of neons and RCS. :D

Ember tetras or chili/mosquito rasboras look stunning in well planted tanks.

Don't forget you might have to recycle, if the tank's been empty for longer than a week or so.

Tetras and other small schooling fish aside, are there any other fish that do well in small aquariums other than thendwarf gourami, betta, etc.? Any fish that dwell towards the bottom or a centerpiece fish other then a betta? Best type of shrimp for a 10g? I had RCS in there with the betta, but I moved them once the betta died to a 30g.

Oh yeah and also any suggestions for plants other then java fern anubias marimo flame moss cabomba wisteria crypts. (plants I already have). Also green foxtail

In a tank that size, I wouldn't even recommend neon tetras. Too active and would rather suggest a 16Gal for them.

Betta is the best bet and would fit nicely in a 10 gal, Any shrimp be fine in there as well.

Yeah, I used to have harlequins in there but I moved them because it seemed like they needed more swimming space....but I'm trying to emphasize that I really don't want another betta yet..

Dwarf honey or sparkling gouramis? Scarlet badis? Pygmy cories?

Aside from bettas, tetras and gouramis there is not much that can fit in a 10 gallon :/

Oh thanks a lot for the link, lots of good ideas....but still....nothing catching my eye, maybe I'm just being picky and don't like small fish >.<. Also I may just go with corys even though I have them in two different tanks.....sounds like a good idea, except for the fact that the 10g is my only tank with gravel.....never tried keeping corys on gravel for long term and I'd rather not try....

That brings me to shrimp XD. Anybody have any ideas as far as shrimp like numbers, compatibility with smaller tetra fish....I was thinking about removing a lot of the cabomba and wisteria and replanting with a wide variety of plants, and then maybe going for ember tetras and shrimp. Except I have yet to find the type of shrimp and plants... I think I might go for something a bit more colorful or "rare" as far as shrimp, apart from RCs, ghost, etc.
