10 Gallon Guppy Q's

I am hoping soon to be getting a 10 Gallon square tank which I am considering stocking guppies in. I just have a few questions if i may?

1. Really don't want fry so ok to go with just all males?

2. How many could i have in the 10 gallon (US) species only?

3. Do they like particular plants, styles - was planning just plastic though may change my mind?

4 Was planning to have this particular tank on a bedside table, have others found the filters too noisy?

1. With all males there may be fighting.

2. 10 gal = 10 inches of fish. I don't know how big guppies get, but yeah...

3. You may want to go with silk if they have very long fins.

4. I have mine right by my bed, and the filter does trickle, but I don't mind. It all depends on what you tolerate, I guess.

oh well we have noise at night so shouldnt be too bad with the filter!

I wanted to go for males are they are prettier than the females??

anyone confirm on guppy sizes?

1 just males are fine
2 about 10-15 when the tank is muture
3 plastic plants are fine
4 i actulay sleep better with my filter i like the sound when im trying to sleep

LOL thanks kizno! wow really 10-15! Probably would introduce in batches of 5. Friend was suggesting mollies but like the colours of the guppies.

i would add 3 at a time are you are going to cycle it right
and is it us or uk gallons because if its us then i would think 10 would be max

hello gain Kizno1. The tank is a 38 litre and think that was 10 US gallons (think haven't the written down bits and pieces with me). So maximum stocking of 10 - add 3 on perhaps a weekly basis/ bi-weekly basis as long as the tank is fully matured.

In a 10 gallon mixed with females and males any fry that is born probably wouldnt last to long anyway unless it was heavily planted

and maby you could have a few less guppies and get a shoal of pygmy corys or have 10 guppies and a few shrimp
