I am converting my lighting in my 10 gallon to a 2x13 watt bright kit from AH supply. I didn't get the reflectors because i didn't want to have too much light in the tank and have an algae explosion.
My question is this.....the hood had 2x25 watt incandescent bulbs, how much of that light was reaching the tank instead of being wasted in energy and will there be a great difference with the new lights?
I have about a dozen pygmy swords, a good sized chunk of riccia, a baseball sized piece of java moss, and some water sprite, and i will be adding a DIY co2 injector as soon as my new diffuser arrives.
Any advice on doing a planted this small? I already have a moderately planted 30 gal so i do know the basics.
