I have 80+ mbuna fry (Yellow Labs and Auratus) and have just bought a ten gallon nano tank for a fiver from a car boot sell....fits in my cabinet nicley...is this adequete to keep them in until they get big enough to go in main display/be sold?

Seems like a lot of fry. Suppose it depends on when u think they're ready for main tank or sold...

If thats and inch in length or so the tank is going to be back to the rafters.

if they are small fry then its fine. (say 2cm or so)

lots of people use 10 or 8G tanks for livebearers.

I was going to keep them in there until they are big enough not to get muched then flog on the surpless.

With that amount of fry I'd be inclined to go larger, say a 20-30gal. You'll need to keep them separate until they are large enough to not fit in the mouths of the adults so around 1 - 1.5 inches. Even with excellent filtration, 80 1 inch fish (assuming they all survive) in a 10gal tank just wouldn't work.
