Quarantine Wwyd Q?

I have 2 hengelis rasboras in quarantine. One had some greyish growths on his side. He had this in the past and I treated him and returned him to the main tank with a spot, it just wouldn't go after weeks in the q tank, but did go eventually. One of the new spots was in the same place as last time.

I treated with eSHa 200, active ingredients-ethracridine lactate, copper sulphate and proflavine hemisulfate. During that treatment, 1st fish acted v. ill, sitting on bottom mainly.
He perked up, but still had the little growths, so a week later treated with king British fin rot and fungus control, active ingredients 2-phenoxyethanol.
Still no change. The 1st looks a little thin, eyes look a bit large. They're both eating, acting fine, but the external symptoms won't go. They're difficult to see in the q tank (I have a load of plastic plants in there for cover and if I take those out, the fish go behind the heater/filter) but the 1st looks a bit grey generally.
I have one other treatment, malachite green, worth trying that too?
Would you put him back in with the spot(s), how long before I admit they aren't going to go away? It's been 19 days so far.
In a slight twist, I also have a female fighter in there, she was in q as a new fish when the others were taken ill and I only have one q tank. She looked ill, listless before they went in, I treated her and she perked right up and now is absolutely fine. Her new tank-to-be is a divided one with 2 male bettas, so I don't want to risk her carrying something into that tank.
So, best way to proceed? Currently light feeding and keeping up the water changes.....
