This is not a fish pic, but it is fish related. I followed simple instructions on how to breed Mosquito Larvae and voil'a! I've created a Monster!!! Or rather, thousands. In any case, now I'm freezing the crop, lest I should die dessecated a drop at a time, by my own spawned concoction!

Yikes! I think I've just had a close encounter of the third kind!

I am very impressed by your dedication to feeding live foods cheirodon

Do you have a link to the instructions or did you get the information the old fashioned way (by talking to actual people)?

Info actually came from various sources:

1- Some of this was already happening naturally, so I assumed basic conditions were granted.

2- Yes, the oral tradition, among others, my father, who will be 82 next month, specialized in Tropical Medicine more than 50 years ago. He had a few tips.

3- I did a search of the string Mosquito larvae on Google, and viewed various sites. The most similar to what I did is: This Aussie Site

In any case, It's an ongoing experiment, so I'll post new findings.

All this comes from a thread on Tropical Chit Chat, where William mentioned that the quality of flake food doesn't always cover your fish's needs.

Could we do LOTM (Larvae of the Month)? I really like the beady eyed one on the left, with the large fangs!! :hyper:
