Hi, sorry for the late reply. But I did a water test again after taking your advice and the ammonia is finally at 0ppm thank you! And the test Ph, nitrite etc is at the level it should be.

I did another water change last night and this morning I check the ammonia is still the same level at 0.50ppm same level as last night. The nitrite is at 0ppm, nitrate still the same at 5.0ppm. I'm not sure if the water testing kit is working. Ph is still 7.6

My betta fish seems to be not aggressive to them at all and almost been a week. But if there is any problems I would change it

Yeah I condition the water. I never thought to test it before but is always after.
