I bought my first Albino Heckelii 2 days ago. It only stays at the bottom of the tank. When no one is around it swims in the middle part but when it sees people it goes back at the bottom. Is it sick? or shy?

I was able to find a freshly cut acacia branch last 3 weeks ago. I bleached it under the sun for 4 days without its bark then submerged it in water for 2 weeks. Can I use acacia wood as driftwood for my aquarium?
