You have a nice setup in case you are stuck at home for a while, not sure if Brisbane is getting the same lockdown treatment as Melbourne etc.

    Hey!

Tank seems to have a really deep appearance, almost like a cube but I don't think it is.

Gardens of the River - Aquascape - 30GAL

With only 2 LFS, and only SW, congrats on getting yourself going. Don't feel bad though, here in LA we have only 1 official ADA store, which happens to be the LFS nearest me.

Using Seaweed To Get Rid Of Nuisance Algae In Your Aquarium Or Pond

Using Seaweed to get rid of nuisance algae in your aquarium or pond, part 3 Thinking back now to the oven, and to the heat concentrated inside it, it becomes clear that if that same heat were let out of the oven, your house temperature would get hot, but not near as hot as the oven was. Why...

Why the need for such light stocking in marine tanks?

Chaeto Reactors compared to Algae Scrubbers

Chaeto Reactors compared to Algae Scrubbers, part 2 Now for some basic differences; more detailed differences will be in subsequent posts. The first and maybe most important difference is that chaeto reactors grow only in saltwater (fish only, or fish with live rock, or reef) whereas algae...

Chaeto Reactors compared to Algae Scrubbers

Chaeto Reactors compared to Algae Scrubbers, part 1 All macroalgae operate basically the same, chemically. They all use light, photosynthetically, to absorb nutrients from the water (i.e., filtering) and to grow biomass. Just like trees. The differences between types of macroalgae are in the...

Chaeto Reactors compared to Algae Scrubbers

With more people wanting to use natural filtration for their tanks, we are going to look at the two main types of units that you can put on your system: Chaeto reactors (or "algae reactors") and algae turf scrubbers (ATS). We won’t be looking at refugiums however, since those have mostly a...
