Anyone have any idea what kind of fish that is with the stripe? There are 2 in the tank that a member of my family ended up with. The tank with fish was given to her. There's an angelfish. The person she got it from never cleaned it or took care of it. She wanted to know the type of fish this is.
I have a 20 gallon tall tank that has 1 red flame gourami, 6 corys and 4 zebra danios. I had 6, but 2 died a while back and I never replaced them. I was wondering if I could add maybe 4 neon tetras instead of adding 2 more zebra danios...
I need a new background for my 20 gal high tank. One I've had for a long time isn't sticking as well and is cracked some. I had used vaseline when I put it on before. What would be the best way to stick it to the glass without just using tape around the edges. I want the image to pop. I read...
Thanks. Right now my digital and fusion thermometer show 76..the fish are just as happy as ever. It fluctuates between 75 and 76. If I have to, I'll turn heater down a tad. Shouldn't have to recalibrate it I think.
I got a digital thermometer this morning from Petco and it was reading 80 degrees. I did the old ice packs in the tank trick and let it cool off the tank 3 degrees. It was 77.2 last time I checked. I have a few zebra danios, 1 male red flame dwarf gourami and 6 corys in my 20 gallon high tank...
I just got a JW Fusion Smart Temp Aquarium Thermometer and a Eheim jager trutemp submersible heater 75w for my 20 gallon high tank. Have heater on 76. Thermometer has shown 81 since I put it in and that was before I plugged heater in. Thermometer works fine outside the tank. I put it on my...
I live in Louisiana and we are expecting another winter storm tomorrow and it is supposed to bring more freezing rain that we didn't get yesterday. We were lucky and just got a lot of sleet and some snow mixed in, so we didn't lose power. We have a generator ready to go, but if it's raining or...
I ended up taking the background off and turned it over. I used vaseline to reapply it. It looks better and if there's any bubbles, can't really tell cause it's a slightly darker background with rocks and plants. I'm sure most of bubbles are at the bottom and hardly noticeable.
Thanks for the idea. Do I glue background the plexiglass? Will it press against the tank enough to make the background show clearer? I've also been looking for self adhesive backgrounds online, but haven't found much.
I have a 20 gallon high tank with a background on it. I have had it a long time and the background is starting to get bubbles in some areas..can't seem to get rid of them all...it's good enough and not a major issue, but wanted to know if I could stick a new background on a piece of cardboard...
I'm not adding just for the sake of it. Just wanted other suggestions if anyone else had any. Thanks for the info. I did end up going to Petco earlier and got another danio and cory.. will keep checking to see if they get anything else in.
No luck finding anything. At Petco, only had 2 cherry barbs, still no honey gourami. Petsmart doesn't have cherry barbs or honey gourami. Several of their tanks had no fish in them. Any other suggestions as to what else I could add?
