My betta is not aggressive at all and has only flared at it once, he is more inquisitive than anything. I'm just worried with such a small tank 2 snails plus a betta is too much extra bioload.

Hi guys I just added some snails to my tank after letting my betta settle in, to help with the algae and live plant clean up. I'm concerned that I may have over loaded the tank as it is only a 3.8 gallon. What are your thoughts?

so using bottled amonia would be quicker and overall a more reliable solution for cycling the tank? Would I also have to account for current amonia levels in the tank before dosing?

Thanks for the replies guys, I do plan on getting a 10 or 20 gallon planted tank at some point and the current 3 gallon is being cycled right now. I think what i will do I keep this tank as a betta tank and then use the 10 or 20 gallon for a few tropical fish.
