Hi,
I have a 20g long aquarium with a standard filter. I want to swap the standard filter for a sponge filter to help my molly fry to survive.
My aquarium is also planted so would I need a power head?
Has anyone got any advice or recommend a sponge filter for a 20g aquarium?
Thanks
Hi All,
Thanks for your help! Just an update. The prolapse looks as if it's gone back in. However the area still looks sore. She's eating still, but has lost a lot of colour due to stress. Hopefully she will recover. Fingers crossed!

Hi,
I want to buy some Gold Barbs this weekend, but I'm unsure whether I should by the small ones or the larger almost fully grown Gold Barbs.
What size would you recommend? - Is it better to buy mature older fish?
Thanks
Thanks Mike, but to be honest mixing fertilizers wouldn't be a good idea for me as having to much or too little in the miix will then become another problem on its own.
I'll probably try Tropica Plant Growth as that seems the easiest option
Hi,
I need to get some floating plants for my betta's and gourami's and I was wondering if water lettuce would grow if I kept the lid on the top of my aquarium? o
Or will it cause the water lettuce to rot?
Can you share your experiences?
Thanks
Hi,
In my local pet shop there are only two choices of liquid plant fertilizers:
1. King British - Aquatic Plant Food
2. Nurafin - Plant Gro
Which fertilizer would you recommend to promote healthy plants?
pH 6.8 - 7.2
ammonia 0
nitrites 50
nitrates 0
gH 125
kH 180
20 Gallon Long
Aqua Glo...
Thanks for your help and examples. As I've only had them for a couple of days they may still be stressed which is causing them to hide their true colours. I'll take another snap once they've properly settled in.
