Hi all, After mooving all my fry to a smaller tank I have the perants and a few other female guppies in my biorb 30 with just them and 1 ADF, I woke up this morning to find the guppie who gave birth to the fry dead, upside down coverd in what looked like frost or cotton buds all over it coming...

hah wierd thing was, just after watching this vid, went down stairs looked into my tank to see about 45 guppie fry! took the mother out and the small tank is now full of fry wohoo!

well yeah, the tank i got today is only for the top 3 most pregnant guppies and nothing else, so with the plastic see-through pipes i should see the fry swim and hide into them, ive decided also not to use any sort of traps seems a bit cruel limiting there swimming distance by so much, cheers

Yeah, probably end up charging you a fair bit, and probably tell you what you already know... no, i wouldnt bother with them.... i would try and make the tank asleast stressfull for the fish as you can untill you can get them to the LFS, I wouldnt delay though as you dont want to loose your...

hmm didnt want to abort really, the main reason I got my tank with the guppies is to try and raise seom fry and it seems satisfying to me watching them grow becuase I used to breed platies but that was easy as I had a 3 foot tank with a devider, I think ill just put them in the breeding net now...

Can you not take a water sample to your LFS? Id suggest doing that plus if you dont see a resolution soon it might be an idea to take your fish to the lfs and maybe rebuy them when your sorted as you might end up loosing them and its easier to sort the problem out with a fishless tank!

Dont really understand the breeding net, the one i saw in my lfs yesterday just looked like a blue sqaured net, didnt see any compartments for the fish to swim into there own section? Im considering getting a tiny tank for them but a decent breeding net would be much easier, do the blue breeding...
