    Need help with Betta

@Fish384, yeah, he's not usually that big around the belly so my friend probably overfed. I'll ask her and I didn't feed him over the weekend. He got some larva today, I didn't want to give him too much. I'm worried that it might be something more serious as his scales around the bloated area...

    Need help with Betta

Hi guys, I got a betta with strange looking fins and I'm not sure if it's a disease or not? The guy who sold him to me said that he's healthy. He's been fine, eating, very active. However, I came back from vacation on Friday (a friend was coming in every day to check in on my tank) and I...

Done with snails, how do I get rid of them?

I think the overfeeding might be right, but I don't know how else to feed my corys. Whenever I give them food, there are a million snails on it within 30s. That's another reason I want them gone. If I trap them in a jar, how do I get rid of them then? By jar, you mean any jar?

Done with snails, how do I get rid of them?

Since the start of my fish tank I've had problems with bladder snails. I had no idea it would get this far. At the beginning, it got to like 50 of them and I got 3 assassin snails. They did a good job of reducing their numbers, but for the last 2 months they haven't been doing much. They even...

    My Panda Cory looks hurt

@Uberhoust, okay, I'll move her, thank you. The other corys look completely fine. Another thing I just noticed is that she is completely white, while the others are more like brownish. What does that mean? As for the soil, I've got a quite heavily planted tank, what can I do at this stage?

    My Panda Cory looks hurt

Hi all, this morning I woke up to find one of my Panda corys dead. She looked fine, no wounds or anything. I did tests on my tank and everything is fine. I've just checked my tank again, and another cory is on her own, looks like she has trouble moving, and she has a wound above her mouth. What...

Found a couple of orange egg-looking things on my floating Salvinia

Came back from a 2-week long vacation to find these two strange egg looking balls on top of my Salvinia plant. They are kinda gooey, almost look like drops of some orange liquid but they retain the shape (don't spill). Any ideas what it could be? The fish I have in the tank are: a male Betta...

    Cleaning the tank

@GaryE, I'll let you know if I do XD I thought about catching and disposing of them, but felt it too cruel a solution. @Playsander, oh, I mean these three light white sponges that my filter came with (placed above all the other actual filter media) that catch a lot of dirt and according to the...

    Cleaning the tank

The snails got there on the plants, but I do have 2 assassin snails that have been keeping their population very low. As for feeding, I really try to give them only a little bit. The food I give to the rasboras (floating food) I give very slowly so that they always get it from the top and it...

    Cleaning the tank

I've got a question regarding cleaning the tank. I gravel vacuum once a week what I can (without removing plants or decorations), which gets a lot of the dirt out. With that I do a 20% water change and replace whatever filter media needs to be replaced and trim the plants (if needed). However...
