Thanks, again.
I kept several tropical tanks in the 70s & 80s. Things have changed a lot since then so I'm swotting up on current info etc.
With retirement this year I've been bitten by the bug for fishkeeping again.
Thanks Essjay
I was thinking that the water would be too hard for the Tetras - Neon, Glowlight, Cardinals that I intend to stock my tank with once this is setup.
Northumbria Water have a list showing the various parameters for their water:
https://www.nwl.co.uk/globalassets/sharepoint-documents/think-digital-documents---all-documents/N207.pdf
Nothing for the Calcium content, Nitrates seem low.
Again my area in Gateshead is listed as "Slightly Hard"
Just asked this same question in another post.
If the filter is turned 90deg so the blank sides are still against the tank sides the pump & outlet pipe can still be fitted.
Has anyone removed the filter & fitted it back on the left side of the tank?
I'm thinking of getting the Rio 125 & the left side of the tank will be against a wall so having the filter on this side would be better.
The filter box will need to be turned 90deg so the blank side are still...
