What wood would you recommend? I’m in Scotland. Would I need to get it online/local fish store.

    pH out of wack

I use a sand substrate, no rocks as I wasn’t sure which ones would increase/decrease ph and I didn’t want to try that until I was fully informed. No wood either and I know some release tannins or might increase/decrease ph so I didn’t want to mess with that especially when cycling. Especially as...

    pH out of wack

Hello, I’m very new to the hobby and it was an emergency rehoming situation to which I obtained the fish. Long story short, I have the fish in a 54 litre but I am currently cycling a 105 litre for them. The 54 litre with the fish is currently cycling too The problem is my pH levels are not...

Thank you so much for the info. So I will measure not including the lid and keep an eye on my bucket amounts. The litres and US gallons info was also so useful.

I will make sure to accurately measure the height when I receive it tonight. I assume that will only need to cover the tank and not the top lid included. It just seems like a huge leap from 105l (advertised) to 135l (measured through the site’s converter.) That’s what is really confusing me.

Thank you, I have a 6 litre bucket to keep an eye out. I am in Scotland so we use litres. My only problem is I notice things like Seachem Prime which I plan to use, is gallons as is a few things I have encountered. And with them, I am not sure how to properly convert the gallons to litres.

(they were going to get flushed down the toilet) It advertises as 105l. (H48cm, W76cm, D37cm) I used a calculator here and with the measurements it says it holds...
