I would agree the first is a sword. Rangeri possibly but either way a sword will need tropical conditions high light. The second I think may be some kind of Rotala but I'm not sure. If it is then same conditions. You can always ad CO2 or Ferts as well.
It is also possible that you purchased a fish that was already pregnant if these are new fish for you. I have also rehoused my Giant Danios and they bred very quickly after moving.
Thanks. I was thinking about using fishing line with aquarium silicone on either side to hold it in place. Just figured I would see if anyone has any better ideas because I really can't think of anything better.
Hi all,
Soon I will be putting some surface plants in my tank to get a darker side and for more comfortable living space for my Gourami as well.
I was wondering if there was a way to keep surface plants on one side of the tank easily. I have a 75 G tank and would like the surface plants to...
Sorry to hear that :/
I would try cleaning it out and doing a true fishless cycle. There are a lot of threads about it. Once the cycle is almost done plant the tank then get some kind of hardy fish and see how it goes. I can't think of what would have happened if the parameters were fine...
I don't know everything there is to know but I have a few questions that might help.
First off if the fish are just hiding and there is no signs of sickness like color loss, white or red marks, bad swimming patterns, or anything else then that would be normal of fish that are housed in a new...
You said you recently set up a tank. How long was it up before you added fish? If you're tank was not properly cycled then there would be the first problem.
Any recommendations on CO2 additives? I am planning on getting some floating mass in my tank for my gourami soon so that will help cut out the light on the anubias side of my tank as well.
I have had my tank planted for over a year now. My plants have always done fine but lately they haven't been growing all that well and some of the leaves are curling. All my water levels are in acceptable range and I do water changes once a week or so. I will be moving in about 4 months so I...
On a side note how large are your bichir and knife fish? In my experience these can not be housed together. At least not while they are similar in size as the bichir can eat a knife that is just slightly smaller than itself.
Most smaller types of catfish should be fine. I have pictus cats in my tank, they are fairly active and good to look at. My cats have never been aggressive towards any of my fish and I have some similar fish in my tank. You could also look for some other types of pleco for your tank as well.
Can you post pictures of your fish on here? I may not be able to tell straight off what is wrong with them but pictures will most certainly help someone who can.
I also have to agree that you are over stocked on a tank that size. If you plan on getting a larger tank then I think you may be...
