depends, some ghost shrimp will actually kill and eat smaller cherries, but as long as the cherries you get are close in size it should be perfectly fine so i would go for. make sure you have some plants for the shrimp to hide on.

i would skip the guppies they need at-least a 10g as they are quite feisty for their size, you can add like 5 more ghost shrimp though or do cherry shrimp instead if you want some color, but yeah a bunch of shrimp and snails is ideal for a 5g.

im doing 5 angels, 8 black widow tetras, and hatchet fish at top for sure just trying to decide bottom. the birchirs all get to big its an octagonal tank so its only 2x2 on bottom I think im just gonna establish a blackworm and amphipod colony then get the elephant nose. if it doesn't work out...

and if the goby is out of the picture then what is a good unique bottom dweller, all the eels get to big, same with bichirs. on top of them not being amazon, but idc about being from SA anymore lol i just want a unique bottom dweller. and like a said i will establish tubifexworms/ amphipod...

my bottom is sand, and i have read they can live well in freshwater. the ones at my lfs are in freshwater so i assumed they are acclimated to it. and so would it be realistic to establish a colony of tubifex worms and amphipods in my aquarium for food or is that just insane.

or say tubifex worms? or amphipods? not to sure if they spend to much time in gravel though, it would kinda be neat to have some tiny plankton or worms in there for food for the goby, and cory cats.

I decided to not get a elephant nose for my 65g so im going to get something from SA for an amazon biotope ( anything from SA or lower CA will do though), i was thinking a dragon goby but feeding it sounds like a pain. I read that in the wild they eat plankton from the ground so i was wondering...

and if that wont work then what else can i get for bottom, i was thinking about dragon goby but once again feeding is a pain, I want something big and unique not like a pleco.

not getting syndontis anymore, just the angels, tetras, some hatchetfish, corys, and the elephant. I figure as long as i get the food to the bottom nothing will compete with him.

ok so 5 angels, 8 blackwidows, the rainbow, the elephant nose, and 2-3 upside down catfish should do well in a planted 75g.

... ok i finally decided on a tank size lol, after so long and so many post i getting a 75g and my main fish are angels. What can i do for bot? i was think an elephant nose but i want something else to, would a rainbow work if i heavy planted it and put caes on opposite sides? and I have no idea...

actually i went online and found a 55g for cheap so im going to get that lol how does this sound for a 55g 6 corys, 2 rams, 1 albino bristlenose. 2 angels 4 gourami of different colors

i want an angel lol, i guess ill just do the same stock in a 40g
