    Rescaping tank

Amazing thank you. Water temperatures are the same so will make the swap the same day. I was planning to do daily water test for first few weeks just to be sure the parameters were okay.

    Rescaping tank

Apologies as I know this will have already been answered, but just trying to work out the logistics of rescaping a tank without restarting the cycling process. The tank I am rescaping is 80x35x40cm (110 litres), and currently has 3x Rummynose tetra, 2x ember tetra & 2x sterbai Corydora...

    20 gallon stocking suggestions

Thank you very much for the information. I am going to take your advice and a steer clear of kribs (and probably any cichlids) and stick with a schooling fish, some Kuhli’s and some cory’s. Seems a safe option given the tank size. Your tank is stunning btw, strong river bed vibes.

Sorry for late response, but clearly this is a sign for me to get Kuhli’s.

    20 gallon stocking suggestions

Thanks for the response! Really appreciate that and will avoid the kribs in this tank I think. I have to admit I haven’t tested parameters (other than ammonia, nitrate and nitrite), for a while as my tank has been well established for 3 years and is very under stocked, but I believe my ph was...

    20 gallon stocking suggestions

Very sorry I haven’t got back to all your helpful responses. Been a mad week in work and personal life. Just as an update, I was going to breakdown my current tank, to then put up the new tank that is 90 litres, I am however keeping my current tank which is 80x35x40cm (110 litres) I went to...

    20 gallon stocking suggestions

Hi, I was just looking for some stocking suggestions for a 20 gallon (90 litres) low tech planted tank. So far I am thinking of getting the following (open to suggestions if not suitable): - 1x Kribensis - I would like two to keep each other company, but I am concerned about aggression during...

    Suspected low PH killed fish

Had a rough couple of days with a new tank. I set up and cycled the tank a month ago, and had been doing regular test to see how the water was doing. The ammonia and nitrites came up and then dropped back down to 0 after 3 weeks, and I have a very small amount of Nitrate, which I believe...

    Moving fish...

Great thank you. I will definitely hold off adding all the fish at once, however I was thinking of adding the Rams last only for the sake of letting the tank get established before they go in their so the water can become stable. The parameters are very similar, the only thing is the new tank...

    Moving fish...

I recently set up a new 60 litre fish tank which is cycling . I currently have a pair of German Blue Rams in an 110 litre community tank that I was thinking about moving in to this new tank, with 8 Rummeynose and 5 Oto cats. I had initially planned to move different fish from another tank in...

    Choosing a new Tank

Yeah I think I’m leaning to the Lemon Tetras at this point, really nice and can’t see any potential issues. I would be getting one Juvenile Angelfish I think for the reason you stated, and it will also be the final fish added to the tank

    Choosing a new Tank

Yes I have decided on the Fluval tank, I prefer the design and also the extras so going to go ahead with it. I will definitely avoid the Congo tetras thanks for the heads up.

    Choosing a new Tank

I’ve done quite a bit of reading and it seems that they’d be ok in a tank this size as they both occupy different areas and my Rams only get territorial when breeding. Its a good point though and I would definitely watch for any aggression, and if there were any issues I can move the Rams back...
