What are the chances of them being male and female though? And I don't think I have a good breeding setup, that's why I'm rehoming the pygmy cories, as it's hard water/high ph.

Hmm, I'm not sure. Leaning more towards that it isn't, the San Juan cory seems to have black spots while mine have a more constant grey. 

They were sold to me as Pygmy cories, but I'm sure they're not Pygmies as they never really shoal with them, don't display same behaviours and most of all they look quite different.   Here are the pics, sorry for the quality

I could try to put up an advert for them on Gumtree, but I doubt anyone who actually has a soft water set up will reply. Rehoming them to the LFS is pointless as they are most likely going to get sold to someone with the same set up so what's the point?

Not sure there is much of a point doing that honestly, I'd rather leave my tank PH stable to let the fish accumulate than to have it fluctuate as I've heard that's the real killer.
