How do you tell the difference between male and female?
Are they easy fish to bread?
How can I encourage them to bread?

Cheers Matt :p

I have 4 females and 2 males...

The females have a rounded slightly larger belly, and the males are very slim.

They are egg layers, and mine havnt laid any as yet.... i have had them for around 10 weeks...

EDIT
checkout my website for breeding tips

They are also one of my favoputites because of thier pure zest for living. I adore the way they rush around the tank through tunnels and round obstacles like demented rally drivers. In my opinion thes little darlings are a seriously under rated fish full of character.

there are 64 recognised species of danionin
and another 44 awaiting gene confirmation.
The family danionin currently consists of
danio, devario, sundadanio and microrasbora.
The species danionella is currently being evaluated
and may or may not be added.

Ok I've babbled enough for now

They're neat little fish. They pair off for life, don't they? The long-finned varieties I've seen lately at the LFSs are particularly nice looking.

Nice website, too.

there is no scientific evidence to support that.
IME they will spawn with any available mate.
