Yellow Tang

I just got my yellow tang and noticed that when the lights go off, he gets a light brown circle above his little white line on his side, but then when the light comes on it goes away in about 2 minutes. This has gone on without fail for 3 nights now, anyone else notice this? Know why?

i think some fish just get duller when the lights go off, my regal tang seems to get a much duller blue when he's sleeping...

Basically its how the fish circulates its blood when at night. Nearly all fish have a different colouration when the lights are out. Whether this difference in circualtion is for resting or some way of detering predators im afraid i dont know.

Hmm i didnt know that b/c none of my other fish look different at all, but this caught my notice b/c it was a definite circle. Alrighty thanks!
