Iā€™ve had a quick google and heard this was possible due to genetic crossover somewhere further up the line that re-emerges later on? Still, pretty cool. Never had that before.

Any more information from any experts would be great thanks.
Chances of it continuing to happen?
What is the likely colour of the offspring from the yellow one?
Is it all just random?

If you have two red shrimp carrying the yellow gene, then you will get more yellow babies.

If the yellow babies are bred with yellow babies, then most of their offspring should be yellow but some might be red from their grand parents. You can also get some other colours that might eventuate like orange, brown or semi transparent, depending on the baby shrimp's genetic makeup.
