Just found out they aren't cracks....
It looks like it has been resealed recently..... The 'cracks' are trails of sealer...... Doh! What an idiot I am.....

Platys are fine the hardiest of livebearers, I would only keep males though, harlequins are a nice shoaling fish, would rather have cardinals over neon tetra's are hardier and don't carry neon tetra desease, maybe two bottom feeders.

What exactly is neon tetra desease?

Not sure what happens, but there is no cure and it will kill the fish.
