White things in the water

Hey i am currently fishless cycling my tank and right now it is hoodless until the hood comes in, which should have been in like weeks ago. But anyways when i came home there were a lot of little tiny white things floating around in the water mostly at the top. I have cats and their hair gets in the tank as well right now. Are these white tiny flake type lookin things normal. I cant make out what they are could it be dandrough form the cat hair. I dont no im just worried it will screw up my cycle. Any help?

Just get a net and try and get as much out as possible, as long as they are not worms it's ok.

They are moving because of the current my filter makes, but i think it may just be crud or dust.

Even if its worms in many cases they pose no danger. More info required!

Throw in a guppy or a swordtail and watch them feed on them!

im in the middle of a fishless cycle the ammonia would kill them.
