SINCE I only keep bettas, I'm retarded when it comes to other types of aquariums, but I'm learning.

Is it possible to have a tank understocked?
So, I guess what I'm asking is - is it possible to have so few fish that the levels of ammonia and bacteria and such would get off whack?

Like having 6 neon tetras in a 200G tank (for a wacky example)??

I don't think so, there is usually enough bacteria to support the amount of fish, so even with small fish, the amount of good bacteria should still be able to support them :)

Dang.
i thought i had come up with a great revelation all on my own.
turns out it was just a dumb thought.
lol

dwarfs - look how gynormous your fishy looks in comparison to the photos of my fish. That's quite funny on screen.
