Tragus Piercing?

hey guys!

Im thinking about getting my tragus pierced, yeh im a guy!

Anyone had experiences with piercing guns? There are no local tatooists or piercers here. I have self pierced my earlobe with the piercing gun i got from Ebay. All went fine.

So i would be self-piercing my tragus with the piercing gun. Any experience??

I've been a body piercer for the better part of 10 years......NEVER pierce cartiledge or anything for that matter with a gun. Think of it like this a gun is forcing a hole into the skin thus causing unneeded trauma and longer healing periods. Plus those things are not hospital sterlized and can lead to cartiledge collapse and infection. The way a tragus is pierced is with a curved needle, so the hole flows with the shape of the ear, thus eliminating migration, discomfort sleeping, and keloiding. A tri-beveled needle cuts a hole in the skin, it doesn't puncture one. Stay away from the guns they will cause more harm than good. Yes I necro'd this thread but the whole gun thing makes me cringe.
