hello just need a bit of help

I had two swordtail one female and one male.
So how I knew the difference was that a male has a sword tail and the female doesn't.
Is this right and if so has my female changed sex ? If it possible?
My female was pregnant when I left to go on holiday now I'm back she has a tail and no black spot .
Very confused
Thank you

In live bearers (guppies, platies, swordtails, mollies, etc.) The female anal fin (underside of belly) will look like a triangle attached to the belly. In males this fin will look like a spike attached at the base to the belly. I don't know how common this is, but I have a female with a flimsy sword on her tail, so this not the best way to sex them. Males also tend to have a leaner longer body.
