Are swordtails and double swordtails different species? Or is it just a mutation?

They're all swordtails. It started off with a mutation regarding the double swords. And it's got to do with the overactivity of the MSX genes that both genders have. It affects change in fish tissue and more over in the outer fin rays.

So it's like an albino, but the gene accidently makes more than one tail longer? is that correct?
