Sunburst Platy

Lately my sunburst platy..(I only have 1) has been swimming extremely fast more than it normally does..either that, or it rests at the bottom of my tank in a "safe" area like a shell or inside a rock. He likes to camp around. Is this normal? I have no bully fish, all schools of tetra..
