I got me a 20 gallon tank and am planning on tetras andeither abristlenose or some ottos.
Whatwould they prefere in the bottom? a fine round gravel or sand?
Lastly - it currently has only aninternal filter designed for the tank, should i add an airstone for better o2 content?
thanks for your help,
C

Either substrate will be fine, its upto u really.

U can add an air pump if u like, our u could just point the filter outlet towards the surface to disturb it, this will also add more o2 to the tank :)

I love the look and easy maintainence of the sand (and it's cheap ;) ) but if your filter is an undergravel you would be better off with the fine gravel as sand will clog UGFs. :/
