No as in spot some excel lol.

Get your 2ml daily dose, water it down in a spray bottle, drop water level and spray on affected areas and refill. Might cause a few leaves to die off but will kill all algae.

Oh ok, it's going to be challenging to lower the water down that low But it'll be worth it.

When you say refill, you mean repeat, or refill for another day?

Oh and would you rather use Flourish Excel or API CO2 Booster? Are they the same?

Never used API so use Excel , as in drop water and refill water after spraying.

Should I leave the spray solution on there for a few minutes before filling up?

Spray and fill straight away otherwise can kill off leaves.
