So, here I was, thinking my Black Neon Tetras were getting old (had them for at least two years, maybe two-and-a-half). Had some die off over the past several months. Then one of them got bloated - really bloated. This went on for a couple of weeks, though, which didn't seem right - no swimming issues, as happy as ever. Then, just the other day, I noticed something - the bloating had almost entirely gone! Now, I haven't really seen any attempts at spawning by my fish lately (used to see my Neon Tetras rubbing against one another), but I'm wondering if my fish had maybe been impregnated at all? The bloating looked quite severe, and for it to simply disappear is strange (i.e. I've never had that happen before...and I tell you, I wasn't looking forward to the idea of putting down a fish who had an internal growth). The eggs wouldn't have survived, not in my tank, so there'll be no way to know for sure (unless, somehow, baby tetras start appearing one day).

Anyone able to shed some light on the situation?
