that or water sprite does it grow hairy roots? My water sprite has mostly narrow leaves but from time to time the conditions change and I get wider leaves like those pictured.

If it is, surely it should be the other way up?

Those floating plants I asked about those at a fish shop they advised me against them,he said they have to be at least 4 inches away from the light. So aren't suitable for an aquarium).

( Not sure if thats true or he just had no idea about them)

Great, then it looks like I'm off to the lfs to get me some water sprite tomorrow. Still experiencing algea problems even after cut down in feeding, decrease in lighting, more water changes, and added CO2. If this doesn't help, I don't know what will.

edit - other than using some kind of bleach solution, but have no idea what that'll do to my plants. Hope they can stand it or it'll be a waste. :(
