Recently I heard Japanese goldenfish breeder saying that high ph(ph around 8) is good for brine shrimp hatching and that they add sodium bicarbonate to the salt water.
But they didn't say the amount of it.
Does anyone do this?

I have only raised brine shrimp for 3 batches of Angels, that said, I did add sodium bicarbonate to the water to push the pH to 8. I cannot remember the amount I used but it was something like 1/4 teaspoon for a liter of water. I had good success with the hatching with the mix. I effectively just used the formula for salt and baking soda from the package of Brine shrimp I started with.

Thank you for your comment.
I added 2g of sodium bicarbonate for 500ml salt water and tried to hatch artemia.
And it seemed hatching rate was better than that of without sodium bicarbonate.
