Sick Starfish?

I have a chocolate chip starfish and it's been fine for about 2 weeks now. One of my angels got ick and I tried treating him with some medicine to no avail. Poor rusty But now my starfish curls his legs. He'll be on the side of the tank with his legs curled back. Is this normal? Or could the Ich medicine of made him sick? The medicine said it was for fresh and salt water and mentioned nothing about having inverts in the tank.

You treated the whole tank? In the future i would strongly advise you to use a QT tank for treating sick fish/coral/inverts. Did you do a WC after treating the tank? If not i would do a 20% or so WC and also run some carbon in the filter to help remove the medicine.

Also test the water and be sure the parameters are in check.

Yes i did a water change today, and put the carbon back in the filter yesterday. The water it looking much better and now even my starfish is moving around and looking a little better. Guess I need to look into purchasing a little QT tank for the future.

all invertebrates can't take copper medication (toxic). If you have a good LFS then they may treat the fish for you - mine did for me.
