One of my Farlowellas does not look good
He has lost some colour, and does not move much, and does not eat

All water parameters are good, 0 ammonia and nitrite, and about 10 nitrate
Temp 78 F Mature tank, no issues

Farlowella has been with me for over 1 year

If anyone knows much about Farlowellas, I would love to hear any advice on what may be ailing him

Nothing new in the tank other than the addition of an amazon sword, and a fert tab for the sword

are there more than one farowella in the tank? If so males will get territorial and thr weaker onne will end up starving to death. Thats thr closest explaination i have.

I kept a reverse trio of F. vittata for several years. When the alpha male died, the 2nd one stepped right into his shoes. I got spawns from both.

If you want to be sure, if you can set up a 5 or 10 gal. size tank and move him in with some wood and live plants, you can eliminate any potential for bullying. It may be ill?

They are not big movers even at their best and they are for sure lazy eaters.
